Since 2015, Laura Meyer has overseen the Meyer Lucas Design and Renovation team, in addition to being our in-house designer, Certified Home Stager, and expert in all things home design, renovation, and construction.
Laura has been transforming properties into dream homes across the United States and Europe, with clients ranging from all over the Palm Beaches and Martin County, and from Washington State, California, the United Kingdom, and Germany, and everywhere in between! With a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Washington University, Laura has always had a keen eye for design, trend, color, and form, and an innate ability to create ambiance in any of our home listings.
Laura Meyer has been with the Meyer Lucas Team in her role as Director of Design and Renovation since the company’s inception in 2015.
Laura is seen here with Meyer Lucas Team leader Holly Meyer Lucas in 2015 when they first started the concept of a real estate company / renovation company tandem at their very first office on Military Trail in Jupiter. The duo quickly outgrew the space and together have sold and renovated over one hundred local Jupiter area homes.
““Many homeowners under estimate the power of color. I can usually tell in an instant if the colors inside a home are working for or against the space. It’s a sixth sense. As a designer, it’s my job to redesign, renovate, and reimagine spaces within ours client’s budgets, creating ambiance and design that makes all the colors, textures, and materials sing together when we are done with a project.””
Laura credits her success as a home renovator and designer to the exposure she has had to various cultures, spaces, materials, and textures traveling the world with her family (she raised her four kids in Germany!), and her sharp eye for color. "Color is the most underrated design component in my opinion. Colors either work together in harmony or they compete with each other”, she says. "You can have a home full of beautiful designer furniture, but if the colors don’t align with the tone of your home, the tile, granite, marble, etc. the entire aesthetic is lost. So as a designer, it is my job to either mitigate the mismatched colors or revise them all together.”
