“Fierce Conversations: Achieving Success at Work & in Life, One Conversation at a Time,” written by Susan Scott is a Holly Meyer Lucas favorite! In this book Scott explores how to effectively communicate to your friends, coworkers, employers and family to change your life. 

Communication is hard to master, but a single conversation could change the trajectory of a career, relationship or life. Scott teaches us how to master these conversations throughout the book. She explains how to overcome the barriers to meaningful communications, how to enrich conversations with people, how to improve understanding and how to handle strong emotions from both sides of the conversations. 

This book is KEY for real estate agents. Scott states the conversation is the relationship, if the conversation stops the relationship becomes smaller. As an agent all you have is your conversations and communication, the more you reach out and reach out effectively the stronger your relationship will be.  A fierce conversation is one in which we come out from behind ourselves into the conversation and make it real.
