Sara Cardenas - Summer Associate Experience

After reaching out to the team in fall and spring, I secured an interview with Hallie, the Chief of Staff. During our call, Hallie explained Meyer Lucas's values and confirmed my expectations of its progressive and family-like environment. I also had a successful interview with Ariella, where we discussed my previous work experiences and the team's expectations. Following these interviews, I was delighted to receive and accept an offer from the team.

Since starting in May, I have gained invaluable experience with the team. I've learned extensively about SEO (Search Engine Optimization) in marketing and how to effectively target and reach audiences. I've also enjoyed honing my graphic design and creative skills using tools like Canva. I find great fulfillment in seeing a listing through from photoshoot to marketing, open houses, and finally to a successful contract, ensuring both sellers and buyers are satisfied.

The Meyer Lucas team has been incredibly welcoming and supportive. One of the highlights of my role has been spending time in the field with agents, witnessing firsthand the challenges and successes of real estate in South Florida. A personal highlight was touring Nautilus 220 and learning about the revitalization of Lake Park and Riviera Beach. Having frequented this area my whole life, it's fascinating to see the behind-the-scenes efforts shaping its future.

Beyond the skills and knowledge gained, one of the most valuable aspects of my summer has been forming close bonds with fellow associates Olivia, Ben, Jacob, and Jenna. Spending many hours together in the office and on outings, we've developed a strong friendship that I truly cherish.
