Starting this year, Governor Ron Desantis announced the signing of the Freedom Summer Sales Tax Holiday, which will take place the entire month of July in Florida!
Make the most of this summer with tax free boating, water, fishing, and other outdoor supplies or take advantage of tax free live music, sporting events, movies, fairs, festivals, and more! To kick off these summer savings visit any Florida State Park for Memorial Day Weekend with a waived admission fee.
1. Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday: June 1- 14, and August 24- September 6
The disaster preparedness sales tax holiday will set you up for success this hurricane season. Make sure to stock up on all the essentials from flashlights to pet supplies!
Flashlights and lanterns (40$ or less)
Non electric food coolers and portable power banks (60$ or less)
Tarps ($100 or less)
Batteries ($50 or less)
Portable generators ($3,000 or less)
Smoke detectors and alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers (First $70)
Leashes and dog collars ($20 or less)
Pet beds ($40 or less)
2. Freedom Month Sales Tax Holiday: July 1- July 31
With this newly signed tax holiday, save on all things summer fun. Stock up on everything you need to be out in the sun enjoying everything Florida has to offer!

Learning aids and jigsaw puzzles selling for $30 or less
Personal computers and personal computer-related items selling for $1500 or less
4. Skilled Worker Sales Tax Holiday: September 1-7
Working as a trade worker?
The skilled worker tax holiday will provide savings for purchases of tools commonly used by skilled trade workers like work gives, hand tools, safety glasses, and power tools.

5. Energy Star Appliances: Present- June 30, 2024
