At this year’s
Inman Connect Miami, real estate professionals gathered to hear from the biggest names in Florida real estate during a powerhouse panel titled “Going Behind the Curtain: Top Agents Dish.” Among the featured speakers were our very own Holly Meyer Lucas, alongside
Jill Hertzberg and
Danny Hertzberg of
The Jills Zeder Group, and Hillary Farnum-Fasth of Corcoran Reverie. Together, they unpacked Florida’s dynamic market shifts, shared stories from the trenches, and gave a rare look at what it really takes to operate at the highest level.
One State, Many Markets
While Florida is often viewed as one cohesive market, the panel made one thing clear: no two regions are the same.
- Jupiter & West Palm Beach: Represented by Holly Meyer Lucas, this pocket of South Florida has seen explosive growth post-pandemic, especially from buyers affected by the SALT (State and Local Tax) cap. “Florida had a unique opportunity to ride that wave,” Holly explained, citing an influx of residents from high-tax states looking to maximize their returns and lifestyle.
- Miami: Jill and Danny Hertzberg painted a picture of a city in transformation. No longer just a vacation hotspot, Miami has evolved into a magnet for tech, finance, and global business. With international flavor and domestic migration on the rise, the Magic City’s luxury market has become one of the most competitive and diverse in the country.
- 30A: Hillary Farnum-Fasth brought a refreshing perspective from Florida’s panhandle. “30A is its own island,” she said. Unlike other parts of the state, this market kicks into high gear in the summer and is largely driven by road-trip relocations from states like Georgia, Texas, and Tennessee—though the pandemic ushered in buyers from the Northeast and West Coast, too.
Collaboration at the Top
One of the most memorable moments of the panel came when Holly and Jill shared a behind-the-scenes story from the pandemic era. The two were working together to sell a home to golf legend Greg Norman when Holly—pregnant at the time—needed backup. “I needed to perform for them, but I knew I couldn’t do it alone,” Jill recalled. “I told Holly, ‘I need you to drive.’”
It was a powerful reminder that success at the top isn’t about being cutthroat—it’s about being collaborative.
“There’s this misconception that to make it at the top, you have to be sharky,” Holly said. “But the truth is, deals at this level only happen when you trust, lean in, and support each other.”
The Takeaway
Florida’s market is evolving. From tech giants relocating to Miami, to tax-savvy investors eyeing Jupiter, to the unique seasonal trends along 30A, each region offers a distinct lifestyle—and opportunity. But what unites the state’s top agents isn’t just market expertise. It’s a shared belief in integrity, teamwork, and the power of relationships.
At Meyer Lucas Real Estate, that’s exactly how we operate. And it’s why we continue to lead in one of the most competitive real estate landscapes in the country.
