Several members of the Meyer Lucas Team traded their laptops for buckets and grabbers as they joined hundreds of volunteers at John Prince Park for this year's Clean Florida's Waterways Challenge, a statewide initiative that brings communities together to help protect Florida's waterways and preserve the places we all enjoy every day.
Representing the Meyer Lucas Team were Alex Ordoñez, Mike Tozzo, and Kennedy Logan, who spent the morning collecting litter, meeting fellow volunteers, and contributing to a community effort that continues to grow each year.
Living in Palm Beach County means having easy access to beautiful parks, lakes, beaches, and waterways. They shape our weekends, our neighborhoods, and the lifestyle that draws so many people here. Taking a few hours to help care for those spaces felt like a small way to give back to a community that gives all of us so much.
One of the best parts of the morning was seeing so many people show up with the same goal. Local businesses, students, families, community organizations, and real estate professionals all worked alongside one another, proving that meaningful change starts with people who are willing to pitch in.
After the cleanup, volunteers gathered to celebrate the day's efforts, reconnect with familiar faces, and recognize the impact made by every team that participated. It was a great reminder that community events like these strengthen neighborhoods in more ways than one.
