7 Reasons Why the World's Top Athletes Call Jupiter Home

1. Pristine Golf Courses

Jupiter and the surrounding area are packed with championship courses and private clubs, which draws some of the world’s best golfers, including Masters winner Tiger Woods, Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler. Our guide to golf courses in and near Jupiter covers where to play.

2. Train Year Around at World Class Athletic Training Facilities

The Cressey Sports Performance team in Palm Beach Gardens handles training, physical therapy and pitching instruction. Eric Cressey and his staff work with professional baseball players in the offseason so they’re ready to roll right into spring training, and athletes travel from all over to work out there.

The setting helps as much as the gyms. The climate allows outdoor training every month of the year, and the Intracoastal, the Loxahatchee River and the Atlantic give athletes places to condition, paddle and recover without leaving town.

3. AMAZING Restaurants

4. Beautiful Beaches

Try and find a better way to relax than spending an off day on the beach. Don’t worry, we’ll wait! Spots like Carlin Park give you clear water, soft sand and plenty of room to spread out.

5. Two Spring Training Ballparks

Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Abacoa is a hometown favorite. It’s the spring training home of the Miami Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Jupiter Hammerheads, a Marlins affiliate, play their regular-season home games there. In West Palm Beach, CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches, formerly FITTEAM Ballpark, is the spring training home of the Houston Astros and the Washington Nationals.

6. 3 Major Airports

Athletes travel constantly, and three major airports are within reach: President Donald J. Trump International Airport in West Palm Beach (formerly Palm Beach International), Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International and Miami International.

7. No State Income Tax

Florida has no state personal income tax. For athletes, and for anyone with significant earnings, that’s a real part of the math when choosing where to live.
