Halloween falls on a Saturday this year. That spreads the celebrating across October in Palm Beach County. Town and city festivals take over consecutive weekends, the South Florida Fairgrounds runs both a kid-friendly village and a haunted midway, and neighborhoods fill up on the night of the 31st.
This guide covers the community events north county families ask us about most. It also includes a few worth the drive and practical notes for trick-or-treating in South Florida weather.
The Chasin A Dream Foundation brings Pumpkin Fest back to the Harbourside Place waterfront on October 10. Chasin A Dream supports local children facing life-threatening illnesses and disabilities, and Pumpkin Fest is one of its largest fundraisers of the year.
Past years have featured trick-or-treating at more than 50 vendor booths, a haunted house, face painting, a costume contest at the amphitheater, and live music. Admission has historically been free. This year's festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Jupiter's town-run Halloween event moves to a Saturday afternoon this year:
The 2026 lineup includes trick-or-treating, inflatables, a live DJ, arts and crafts, the Monster Maze, and food trucks. There is also a Tot Zone for the youngest trick-or-treaters. Bring your own bag, since the town asks families to supply their own for candy.
The event also takes part in the Teal Pumpkin Project, with non-food treats for kids with food allergies. Details are posted on the Town of Jupiter's Spooktacular page.
The City of Palm Beach Gardens hosts its Fall Festival at The Gardens North County District Park:
Costumes are encouraged, and the centerpiece is Trick-or-Treat Street. There is also a DJ dance party, a fun slide, carnival games, bounce houses, and food trucks. A separate Tot Zone is set aside for small children.
Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue will run a tent teaching hands-only CPR, which makes this a useful stop for parents too. Event details are on the City of Palm Beach Gardens Fall Festival page.
The Village of North Palm Beach hosts Boo Village at the NPB Community Center, 1200 Prosperity Farms Road, from 5 to 8 p.m. The village has not yet posted the 2026 date.
The signature detail is trick-or-treating from decorated golf carts, a tradition specific to North Palm Beach. The evening also includes food trucks, bounce houses, a craft station, and a movie on the field. Watch the Village of North Palm Beach events page for the announcement.
Every October, the city's weekly Clematis by Night concert series gets a Halloween edition:
The evening includes hayrides, trick-or-treating, and inflatables. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, and plan to eat dinner on Clematis Street before or after. Details are on the City of West Palm Beach Clematis by Night page.
Spookyville is the South Florida Fairgrounds' Halloween event for younger kids. It is set among the historic buildings of Yesteryear Village, with trick-or-treating, a petting zoo, magic shows, a DJ, balloon twisting, and a light show.
The fairgrounds sit at 9067 Southern Blvd., west of the Turnpike. Enter from Sansbury's Way through Gate 3 to the Archway Gate. Admission gates close 30 minutes before the event ends. Tickets are sold on the South Florida Fair's Spookyville page.
Fright Nights is for teens and adults who want to be scared. It runs October 8–10, 15–17, 22–24, 29, and 30.
The midway opens at 6 p.m. and the three haunted houses open at 7 p.m. Each admission includes 40 Fright Credits for attractions and rides. It is a poor fit for young children. Plan on Spookyville for them instead.
Trinity Pumpkin Patch runs October 9 through 31 at Trinity Christian School, 9625 N. Military Trail in Palm Beach Gardens. It is the closest seasonal patch for most Jupiter and Gardens families.
In West Palm Beach, Mr. Jack O'Lantern's Pumpkins sets up on the lot at 419 Lakeview Ave.

With Halloween on a Saturday, expect streets to fill earlier than on a school night. Many gated and HOA communities set their own trick-or-treat hours and guest policies, so check your community's announcements. If you plan to visit friends in another community, check theirs too.

A few notes specific to South Florida help too. October evenings are often still warm and humid, so lighter costumes and a water bottle make a long route easier. Hurricane season runs through November 30, so check the forecast that afternoon and keep a rain plan.
A teal pumpkin on the porch signals that you are offering non-food treats for kids with allergies. It is a small way to include more children on your street.

Yes. The Town of Jupiter Halloween Spooktacular is free and open to all ages. It runs Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Jupiter Community Center, 200 Military Trail.
Where can toddlers trick-or-treat in north Palm Beach County?
Both the Jupiter Spooktacular (October 17) and the Palm Beach Gardens Fall Festival (October 24) include a dedicated Tot Zone. Spookyville at Yesteryear Village in West Palm Beach is designed for younger children as well.
