A more than 20,000-square-foot Florida home with access to both the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway was listed last week for $33.85 million.
Located in Manalapan, the 1.7-acre property features 160 feet of ocean frontage as well as 160 feet on the Intracoastal, plus a private dock and two boat lifts.
“You can have your beach walk and then jump on your yacht, which is very, very unique,” said listing agent Holly Meyer Lucas of Compass.
The seven-bedroom, 11-bathroom house is currently being renovated to add a new fitness center and spa, as well as retrofit the home theater so it can be converted into a boardroom for calls and meetings, according to Ms. Meyer Lucas.
“It's actually accidentally perfect for 2021 lifestyles,” she added. “You could fly your board in and have a board meeting on your property.”
The property is like a compound, featuring three guest suites that connect to an interior courtyard, the agent explained. There’s also a three-bedroom apartment with its own entrance that’s suitable for the crew of a yacht or other staff.
Real estate developer Michael Cantor is the seller. He has owned the land for several decades, although the home was built in 1995, according to property records. Mansion Global could not ascertain how much it last traded for. Mr. Cantor was not immediately available for comment.
Indoor-outdoor living is at the heart of the property, which features French doors from the main living area that lead to a series of terraces and loggias. There’s also a 25-foot wet bar in the living room, Ms. Meyer Lucas added.
Other public areas include dual offices, a gourmet kitchen, and a marble dining room. There’s also a tennis court and a pool with a cabana/pool house that connects them. Other outdoor features include a putting green, manicured grounds, and an air-conditioned 10-car garage.
Membership to the nearby La Coquille Club is included with the home. The exclusive club dates to the 1950s and boasts a private beach, clubhouse access, and programming for members.
