Selling Your Jupiter Home in Early 2027: What to Do This November

A step-by-step prep plan for Jupiter, Tequesta and Palm Beach Gardens homeowners who want to list between January and March, plus what the latest Palm Beach County numbers show.

If you want to list your home in Jupiter, Tequesta or Palm Beach Gardens between January and March, November is the month to start. Repairs, inspections, landscaping and photography all get harder to schedule once the holidays arrive. Finishing them now means your home can go live right after New Year's, when seasonal residents are back in town and winter buyers are out touring.

What the Palm Beach County Market Looks Like Right Now

The most recent county figures come from the MIAMI REALTORS + RWorld September 2026 report. Single-family inventory in Palm Beach County was down 19.6% from September 2025, and the median single-family home went under contract in 43 days, compared with 51 days a year earlier. Cash buyers accounted for 51.4% of all county sales that month.

Fewer listings means less competition for yours, though every neighborhood moves at its own pace. Recent sales on your street and in your community will tell you more about your price than a countywide median, and that's the conversation to have with an agent before you list.

A November-to-January Prep Timeline

Early November: repairs and inspections. Walk the house the way a buyer's inspector would and fix what they'd flag: dripping faucets, ceiling stains, sticky sliding doors, worn caulk around tubs and windows, and any AC or water heater issues. Some sellers order a pre-listing inspection so nothing surprises them once a contract is in place.

Mid-November: landscaping and the exterior. Trim hedges and palms, refresh mulch, pressure-wash the driveway, pavers and pool deck, and touch up the front door and trim. The front of your house is the first photo buyers see online.

Late November to early December: declutter and stage. Pack up personal photos, clear the countertops, and thin out closets and the garage. If you decorate for the holidays, keep it light in the rooms you plan to photograph, or book photos before the decorations go up.

December: listing photography. Reserve your photographer early, along with drone or twilight shots if you have water views or a pool. December calendars fill quickly.

Late December into January: pricing. Sit down with your agent, review recent sales in your neighborhood, and set a list price and launch date.

Selling a Home in Jupiter: Common Questions

When is the best time to list a home in Jupiter?
Many sellers aim for January through March, when seasonal residents are in town and buyer traffic picks up. The right timing for you depends on your neighborhood, your price point and your own plans.

What should I fix before selling?
Start with anything an inspector would flag: roof leaks, AC problems, plumbing drips, torn screens and peeling paint. Small repairs and a clean exterior usually make a better use of your budget than a major renovation right before listing.

Do I need a wind mitigation report to sell?
No. Florida doesn't require one to sell a home, but buyers often ask for it because it helps them get homeowners insurance quotes.
